In Basic knowledge and Life hack for a good laboratory life, we will present basic knowledge necessary for a better research life.
In Iwanami Bunko (Iwanami Library), each participant bring a book that he/she recommends and introduce it. This is an attempt to broaden their horizons, to enhance one’s overall human abilities and to deepen their understanding of human beings, particularly, through exposure to a variety of genres.
Each quarter, a theme for the presentation will be chosen and students will investigate and share information on that theme. | In “Iwanami Bunko,” lab members introduce their favorite books. |
>Presentation of your reseach
Once a month, we rent a large lecture hall or other space on the university campus and present our research. Doctoral students give a 15-minute presentation with a 10-minute Q&A session, master students give a 10-minute presentation with a 5-minute Q&A session, and undergraduate students give a 7-minute presentation with a 5-minute Q&A session. This is a valuable opportunity for face-to-face presentations in an unusual environment.
Group seminar Once a week
>Share the research progress and experimental plan
Students form groups with other students whose research themes are close to their own and present their research progress.
Each student will present his/her research progress and plan for the week based on his/her progress and reflections from the previous week, aiming to develop self-management skills.
Students will also present their experimental plans, taking into account materials and personnel allocation, safety management, etc., and will acquire comprehensive management skills through their experiments.
